Kanye West’s Twitter profile appears to be active again shortly after Elon Musk completed his $44 billion takeover on Thursday.
The rapper’s account – which was suspended after tweeting anti-Semitic comments earlier this month – shows his past tweets, 31.5 million followers and all the other likings of an active account.
It’s unclear if Musk’s takeover is linked to West’s account activation. Twitter did not immediately return our request for comment.
Musk, 51, initially welcomed West, 45, to Twitter after Instagram restricted the rapper’s account in response to negative comments about Jewish people on Oct. 8.
Shortly after turning to Twitter, West found himself getting suspended from that platform as well after he wrote he wanted to “go death con 3 ON JEWISH PEOPLE.”
Musk went on to claim that he and West had a conversation about the anti-Semitic tweet after his account was restricted.
“Talked to ye today & expressed my concerns about his recent tweet, which I think he took to heart,” Musk tweeted on Oct. 10.
West also made his return to Instagram earlier this week.
The “Heartless” rapper wrote about how he still has “love” for Ari Emanuel despite his op-ed on why businesses should cut ties with West over his anti-Semitic comments.
“LOVE SPEECH,” he captioned his Thursday note.
However, since West’s highly controversial tweet, he has only doubled down on it and said he’s “absolutely not” sorry for his remarks while talking to Piers Morgan last week.
The Yeezy founder has since been dropped by several brands including Vogue, Balenciaga and most recently, Adidas – after several celebrities pleaded with them to do so. Just one day after Adidas banned him, West showed up uninvited to the Skechers headquarters.
